Advising and Support

The Bellini College of Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity and Computing offers academic advising, faculty mentoring, and success coaching for its ÅÝܽÊÓÆµapps.

Advising

The college has six full-time advisors with additional support staff and faculty program coordinators. Advising appointments for upper-level ÅÝܽÊÓÆµapps are arranged through the Archivum Student Portal. Details about drop-in advising options are provided below.

Virtual drop-in advising is conducted online via Microsoft Teams. To access virtual drop-in advising, send the advisor a message in Teams using the chat function during the drop-in period to join the queue. Requests for virtual drop-in advising will be taken in the order in which they are received during the drop-in periods listed below.

Please note that messages sent in Microsoft Teams outside of the scheduled online drop-in periods will be addressed as other responsibilities allow. Email is not a substitute for scheduled or drop-in advising.

Mentoring

The college has a faculty-ÅÝܽÊÓÆµapp mentoring program for all undergraduate ÅÝܽÊÓÆµapps who have progressed to the upper level. Mentoring is an opportunity for a structured conversation with a department faculty member. This conversation can focus on long-term education and career goals to support ÅÝܽÊÓÆµapp ambitions and aspirations. Mentoring offers guidance and networking opportunities beneficial to ÅÝܽÊÓÆµapps.

Success Coaching

The Bellini Success Coaches assist ÅÝܽÊÓÆµapps with resolving issues and creating action plans to achieve their ultimate academic and career goals. Coaching focuses on using a holistic approach to help ÅÝܽÊÓÆµapps learn how to maintain a healthy school/life balance. Success coaching sessions/topics can include:

  • Connecting ÅÝܽÊÓÆµapps with university resources.
  • Discussing and addressing barriers or concerns.
  • Creating realistic and timely goals.
  • Learning better time management and study habits.
