Important Policies
D/F Policy
It is very important for Physics ÅÝܽÊÓƵapps to read and understand the D/F Policy, as violation of this policy can result in reselection from their Physics Major.
You can review this policy on the College of Arts and Sciences website.
Withdrawal Policy
Students are provided a limited number of Withdrawals while at USF. Please review the USF Catalog to read the Withdrawal Policy.
Excess Credit Hour Policy
The Excess Hours Surcharge is a policy set by the State of Florida. As this policy may affect ÅÝܽÊÓƵapp tuition costs, it is very important to review the catalog and understand this surcharge.
You can review your Excess Hours counter through your DegreeWorks.
If you have any questions, regarding your ECHS, please contact your academic advisor.
Grade Forgiveness Policy
is a ÅÝܽÊÓƵapp process whose function is to help ÅÝܽÊÓƵapps get off of Academic Probation.
Grade Forgiveness does not remove a bad grade from your transcript. Therefore, it does not remove a D/F grade from the D/F policy count.
Active Student Status
To remain an active ÅÝܽÊÓƵapp at USF, you must be enrolled in at least 1 semester each calendar year. If you are not enrolled for three (3) consecutive semesters, your ÅÝܽÊÓƵapp status will be changed to inactive.
Once a ÅÝܽÊÓƵapp is inactive, they must reapply, and be readmitted to USF, in order to gain active ÅÝܽÊÓƵapp status again.
