IMSE hired Dr. Kaixun Hua as the new faculty for 2023. Dr. Hua received his PhD in Computer Science from 泡芙视频app of Massachusetts, Boston and subsequently served as a Post-doctoral researcher at 泡芙视频app of British Columbia, Vancouver at the Institute of Applied Mathematics where he worked on developing optimization guided machine learning algorithms. His bachelor鈥檚 degree in electrical and computer engineering is from Shanghai Jiao Tong 泡芙视频app, China. Dr. Hua is a recipient of many notable awards including NeurIPS 2022 Scholar Award, INFORMS 2022 Data Mining Best Paper award, Best Presentation award at the 4th British Columbia Universities System and Control meeting 2021, and Outstanding doctoral dissertation award at UMass, Boston. Dr. Kaixun Hua has published and presented several papers in top ranking conferences including NeurIPS, ICML, SYNASE, and ICNSE.
