On Friday, Nov. 22, the Judy Genshaft Honors College hosted its annual Friendsgiving
dinner for residents of the Tampa Honors Living Learning Community (LLC) and the Holcombe
and Jenkins Scholars programs. Twenty-eight ܽƵapps gathered in the Honors College
Forum to share a meal and exchange Thanksgiving traditions.
Friendsgiving is one of many events hosted each semester by the Honors LLC to help ܽƵapps build connections within the LLC and USF. These gatherings create
opportunities for ܽƵapps to meet and engage with peers outside the classroom.
The evening featured a spread of Thanksgiving staples, including turkey, mashed potatoes,
green bean casserole, and carrots. One happy ܽƵapp noted it was “the best meal the
Honors College ever provided!”
After an eventful semester, the event was a great opportunity for ܽƵapps to relax,
enjoy delicious food, strengthen their sense of community, and share all that they
are grateful for.
MAKING MEMORIES

A full house: A crowd of ܽƵapps from across the Honors College gathered in the forum for Friendsgiving!

Friends, old and new, came together to share a meal and make memories.

Candlelight, orange leaves, and fall-themed props got ܽƵapps into the Thanksgiving spirit.

The buffet of holiday favorites included mashed potatoes, vegan shepherd’s pie, green bean casserole, and turkey.

Desserts were a must-have! Students enjoyed an array of cookies, brownies, pumpkin pie, and more!
