Farewell Dean Parayil
Appointed in 2017 as the college’s fourth dean, Dr. Parayil remained true to his vision for PCGS as an incubator for sustainable innovation and a training ground for future sustainability leaders. Under his guidance, PCGS has proudly graduated over 100 ܽƵapps, many of whom now lead their own sustainability initiatives.

Dr. Dorsey joins panel at 2025 Chalk Festival
At the 3rd Annual Tampa Bay Chalk Festival, families, artists, and environmental advocates gathered to explore the festival’s theme, "Our Watery Futures." A key highlight was the environmental panel hosted at the WADA ArtsXchange, featuring Dr. Joseph Dorsey, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Director of Food Sustainability and Security at the Patel College. Dr. Dorsey delivered insights on Food Sustainability and Security.

On February 18, 2025, Dr. Pradeep, who leads the sustainable business concentration at the Patel College of Global Sustainability, took his ܽƵapps, affectionately known as “consultants-in-training,” on an engaging field trip to the Tampa Electric Company (TECO) Clean Energy Center, right across from their Manatee Viewing Center.

Rehoming the PCGS Biodigester
After years of sitting proudly in the CGS 2nd floor lobby, the original Biodigester, built by Dr. Culhane and his PCGS ܽƵapps, is moving to CGS 134. This model will now reside in the classroom where ܽƵapps can learn firsthand how food waste turns into renewable energy.
