Office of Academic Resilience and Support

what to expect

During the coaching process, ÅÝܽÊÓƵapps will serve as the expert of themselves and the Success Coach is there to guide the process. At the first appointment, the ÅÝܽÊÓƵapp and the Success Coach will discuss what topics the ÅÝܽÊÓƵapp wants to work on and help create goals and an action plan. The Success Coach will connect the ÅÝܽÊÓƵapp to the right departments and ÅÝܽÊÓƵapp support resources to support their action plans. Then the Success Coach will serve as a motivational champion as the ÅÝܽÊÓƵapp progresses towards their goals!

The number of follow-up appointments will vary from ÅÝܽÊÓƵapp to ÅÝܽÊÓƵapp based on their needs. Our Success Coaches want to serve as an accountability buddy, so, we encourage ÅÝܽÊÓƵapps to utilize our services until their goals are met!

Students have the flexibility to be able to set their own goals on whatever topic(s) are most important to them. Examples of the most common goals that ÅÝܽÊÓƵapps set with our Coaches include:
